SItting Up

Kannon has made great strides this week in sitting up. He can sit up on his own with no support for minutes at a time. He's doing great!

Kate Weber Greyson

When I ask Kate what her name is her response lately has been, "Kate Weber Greyson". She's got the names just not in the correct order.

Summer Fun & Kate's 2nd Birthday

We went down to south GA to visit my parents last week. We also took a side trip to Orlando to visit my brother, his family and some extended family members. We had a great time and it was an adventure to travel with our little ones. They did so well considering all the change we went through. The pictures are in no particular order, simply because they loaded in no particular order. Enjoy

Kate's birthday - I can't believe my little girl is 2. She is a big girl and I'm so proud of her. She loves to take care of her baby dolls. She holds them and changes their diapers. She feeds them their bottle and cereal just like I do for Kannon. It's really cute. She is very crafty. She loves to color and do playdough. She would be a TV junky if I let her. She loves to watch Curious George and Sesame Street. She got Monsters Inc. for her birthday and she loves to watch "Tickle Monster"...that's what she calls it. She likes to play with her friend, Hannah, next door. They give each other a big hug everytime they see one another. They both like to bring an extra toy or snack along to share with each other. She's showing a little more interest in the "big girl potty". Last weekend she told Dan she needed to go "poo-poo" and actually did her business on the potty. I'm so proud and had no issues with giving her a handful of jelly beans afterwards. I'm going to start full-blown potty training next week. Any advice?

Kannon is getting so big. Isn't he a stud? At his 6 month appointment, he weighed 17.5 pounds and is 27.5 inches long. He's growing and developing great. He's rolling all over the place and pushes up on his arms really well. I know it won't be long and he'll be off crawling. He said "mama" for the first time two weeks ago. I was so proud. This week he's discovered "dada" and hasn't stopped saying it. It's so cute! I'm working on capturing a video to share - he stops everytime I point the camera his way. He's chewing and drooling non-stop, but no signs of a tooth. He's eating everything I offer him and doesn't seem too particular. He's still having reflux issues, but he's not in any pain since we started him on antacids a few months ago. It just leaves me with a lot of laundry at the end of every day. He seems much more active and talkative than Kate was at this age. I think we'll have our hands full once he is mobile. He loves to play with toys that have eyes (stuffed animals, etc.). He sits and talks to them like they understand him. It's cute.

Swimming and playing with Pa. She's not too confident in the water, but likes the idea of going swimming. We'll have to get more practice in.

Thanks for being patient with me on the blog - it's just not high enough on the priority/to-do list.
Quick update on the grown-ups. Dan's job is going well. He's settling in to the new company and position and starting to get a handle on all the new products he's selling. He's such a great dad - Kate adores her daddy and Kannon just thinks he's hilarious. I'm doing well too. I stay busy all the time with wife, mommy and part-time employee duties. I'm so thankful I get to be home and experience every little thing with my family and wouldn't change it for anything.
