First Hair Cut

Kate got her first haircut yesterday. Her hair had begun to look like a mullet and we just couldn't have that. She did really well for Sheri and it looks adorable now.

Before the cut - notice the craziness in the back.

She's such a big girl

Enjoying her cinnamon roll after. She's got a little bob haircut.

18 months and 1 month old

Kate is officially 18 months old. At her check-up she weighed 25 pounds and is 33 1/5 inches tall. She still super tall for her age (90th percentile). Our pediatrician is very pleased with her development and growth. She loves going to "school" two days a week. It's a great chance to interact with other kids and adults. At home she like to cook in her kitchen, be mommy to her baby dolls and color. She is also into The Little Mermaid and Sesame Street. She is doing a great job as a big sister and doesn't seem to remember life without Kannon. Occasionally she has a jealous moment, but overall is very understanding.

Kannon is officially 1 month old. At his checkup this week he weighed 9 lbs 11.5 ounces and is 22 inches long. He's also tall (75th percentile). I'm interested to see how he'll continue to grow compared to Kate. He's developing really well too. He's had some spit-up and gas issues and so we're trying a different kind of formula to see if that helps. He is beginning to get into a good eating and sleeping routine, including going about 5-6 hours at night. Unfortunately he's been sick the last couple days with a cold and worrying his mommy. He seems to be on the mend today and doing better.

Dan and I are good. We're still adjusting to having two kids to love and take care of. We have our challenges every day, but we remind each other all the time that we're super blessed and this crazy time of 2 under 2 is short-term. We're looking forward to warming weather so we can get out and do more things. Cabin fever is beginning to settle in. That's all for now...

A few pictures

We had a fun visit with Pa & Grams. They went home today and it's back to just the four of us.

Kate loves Kannon...he loves her too!

Two weeks old.

We're all doing well. We're still trying to get our routine down so we get as much sleep as possible. Kannon will start sleeping in his room this week, so hopefully Dan can get more rest so he's ready for work during the week. Kate loved spending time with Pa & Grams last week. She seems to be used to Kannon being around and loves him. She is even more motherly with her babies.

Happy New Year

Kannon is doing really well. He's a very happy baby. He sleeps most of the time, even at night. He's continuing to gain weight and grow. Hopefully he'll be back to his birth weight by the end of this week.
Kate is still adjusting to sharing her daddy and mommy. Overall we feel likes she's done really well. She is very curious about Kannon and how we take care of him. She's going to be a great big sister.
Dan took last week off to be home and help during our adjustment time. It has been nice to have him around and I know it was a huge help for Kate to have one-on-one time with one of us everyday.
I'm doing well and almost feel 100%. I'm super thankful for all the blessings God has given our family and look forward to what this year holds for us.
We've been able to share some great time with family in the last week. All our parents and siblings have been able to meet Kannon and love on Kate.
Here are a few pictures from this week.
