Finally...a new post

Time is absolutely flying!! I'm ready to slow things down a bit, but I'm pretty sure it's all about to get a lot faster. I feel like an old lady saying that, but I guess I'm not getting any younger...
We're doing good. Kate is super. She had her 15 month checkup last week and she weighs 23 lbs 5 oz. She is 33.5" tall, which is the average height of a 21 month old. She is long & lean. The doctor was very pleased with her development. Her favorite things lately are Sesame Street, playing outside, coloring & carrying her toys around the house in whatever container she can get her hands on...mostly she uses laundry baskets. She enjoys cooking in her kitchen and letting us try her concoctions and she has started becoming motherly to her baby dolls. She imitates everything we say and do.
Kannon is growing and seems to be running out of room already. We have 11 more weeks until he's due and I'm not sure how he's going to make it. My last doctor's visit went well and he has a steady, strong heart beat and everything is on track for January 2. We have a lot of work to do before he arrives, but we're beginning to make some headway around the house.
Dan is doing well. His job is steady. He's been playing a lot of golf lately with different tournaments for work, so he's enjoying that. He has also been playing flag football with some guys at the church we're going to.
I'm enjoying my work too. It's nice to be able to stay home and work in my pj's...that includes playing with Kate and my ReThink Money job.
The weather has definitely cooled off here and we're enjoying it. We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday and had a fun time as a family. Here are some pictures from our outing.Hiking through the pumpkin patch.

Game Day

A disappointing day for the Vols, but Kate looks good!!!

On our way back to health

It's been a long week with everyone here being sick. Kate started with a fever last Sunday which lasted until Wednesday. Then she got a rash Wednesday that is starting to fade. The doctor said she had a viral infection that had to run its course. Thankfully once the fever went away she started acting more like herself and we've had a better ending to the week. Dan is dealing with allergies and I have a nasty cold. Hopefully by the end of the weekend we'll all be healthy again.

Kannon is growing and very active. I feel him moving constantly and can even see him moving. We've been shopping around for a new crib and bedding to start getting his room ready. I can't believe he'll be here in just 3 short months. I'm definitely nervous about having two, but I can't wait to love on him.

Two weekends ago went went to GA to work on the house there. We're hoping to rent it out again soon. We had a fun time visiting with a few friends in between painting and working on the yard. Kate was able to play with our friends, Darby, Mary Gail, Cora & Ada. Grisham went with us and he seemed super happy to be back in his first home, even though there was no furniture in it.

Last weekend we went to Indianapolis to see Dan's mom. We had a very nice visit with her and got to see her new house. We also got to visit with Dan's grandma & her husband, Jim. I think Kate most enjoyed the dog, Pooh Bear.

She likes to wear her fancy shoes & use her step stool that Granny got for her

We are happy to be home this weekend with no place to be. We're rooting for Tennessee today and hoping they can turn things around and win. Go VOLS!!!

Lots of Pictures

We've had a busy couple weeks with a fun visit from Renee's parents. Kate got to enjoy playing with them all day long. We're still detoxing from all the constant attention. It was great to have them here.
Kate is starting to use a lot more words and communicate with us. She loves to dance and read and chase after Grisham. She has discovered Elmo and Sesame Street. She knows most animals and what they "say", including the hyena & seal...she keep us laughing.
We've decided to name the baby Kannon. That's the name Dan has wanted since before we knew whether Kate was going to be a boy or girl. It has taken some convincing on my part. We're still up in the air about middle names, but will get it figured out. I'm feeling him move a lot these days. I went to the doctor this week and everything was good. We're still expecting him around the first of the year.
Enjoy all the pictures to help catch you up on what we've been doing.
