Game Day

A disappointing day for the Vols, but Kate looks good!!!

On our way back to health

It's been a long week with everyone here being sick. Kate started with a fever last Sunday which lasted until Wednesday. Then she got a rash Wednesday that is starting to fade. The doctor said she had a viral infection that had to run its course. Thankfully once the fever went away she started acting more like herself and we've had a better ending to the week. Dan is dealing with allergies and I have a nasty cold. Hopefully by the end of the weekend we'll all be healthy again.

Kannon is growing and very active. I feel him moving constantly and can even see him moving. We've been shopping around for a new crib and bedding to start getting his room ready. I can't believe he'll be here in just 3 short months. I'm definitely nervous about having two, but I can't wait to love on him.

Two weekends ago went went to GA to work on the house there. We're hoping to rent it out again soon. We had a fun time visiting with a few friends in between painting and working on the yard. Kate was able to play with our friends, Darby, Mary Gail, Cora & Ada. Grisham went with us and he seemed super happy to be back in his first home, even though there was no furniture in it.

Last weekend we went to Indianapolis to see Dan's mom. We had a very nice visit with her and got to see her new house. We also got to visit with Dan's grandma & her husband, Jim. I think Kate most enjoyed the dog, Pooh Bear.

We are happy to be home this weekend with no place to be. We're rooting for Tennessee today and hoping they can turn things around and win. Go VOLS!!!

Lots of Pictures

We've had a busy couple weeks with a fun visit from Renee's parents. Kate got to enjoy playing with them all day long. We're still detoxing from all the constant attention. It was great to have them here.
Kate is starting to use a lot more words and communicate with us. She loves to dance and read and chase after Grisham. She has discovered Elmo and Sesame Street. She knows most animals and what they "say", including the hyena & seal...she keep us laughing.
We've decided to name the baby Kannon. That's the name Dan has wanted since before we knew whether Kate was going to be a boy or girl. It has taken some convincing on my part. We're still up in the air about middle names, but will get it figured out. I'm feeling him move a lot these days. I went to the doctor this week and everything was good. We're still expecting him around the first of the year.
Enjoy all the pictures to help catch you up on what we've been doing.

A few hilarious pictures

We've been busy the past couple weeks. Our weekdays are filled with playing and working. Last weekend Dan did the food for a local cookout for work. He made some of the best ribs and BBQ chicken I've ever had. I may be a little biased, but the crowd consensus was the same as mine. We are taking it easy this weekend.
Kate enjoys playing with our next door neighbor, Hannah. She is about 6 months older than Kate, but they get along well. Neither are very good at sharing their toys, but we're getting better. They get to play together a couple times a week. The same neighbor is having a baby boy about 3 weeks ahead of us. We're excited that they will get to play together too.
Kate really enjoys dancing lately. She watched parts of "So You Think You Can Dance" this past season and loved watching them dance. We do our own version around the house. Her most recent move is twirling around. She very deliberately takes her arm across her body to gain momentum. It's adorable. I'll capture some video and upload it soon.
Here are a few pictures from the last couple weeks.
Who said you can't have fun with Easter eggs all year?

Kate borrowed Hannah's sunglasses. She thought she was the stuff!
